Delete Your Account

Deleting your account is permanent and cannot be undone. All your recipes, grocery lists, meal plans, pantry items, and personal data will be permanently removed. If you only want to remove specific data, visit Manage Your Data instead.

Option 1: Delete from within the app

The fastest way to delete your account is directly in the ReadyGoCook app:

  1. Open the ReadyGoCook app on your device
  2. Tap the Profile tab (bottom-right)
  3. Tap the Settings gear icon
  4. Scroll down to Data Management
  5. Tap Delete Account
  6. Confirm deletion in the dialog that appears

Your account and all associated data will be deleted immediately from the device. Cloud-synced data will be removed within 30 days.

Option 2: Request deletion via email

If you are unable to access the app, you can request account deletion by email:

  • Send an email to [email protected]
  • Use the subject line: "Delete My Account"
  • Include the email address associated with your ReadyGoCook account

We will process your request and delete your account within 30 days. You will receive a confirmation email when the deletion is complete.

What data is deleted

When your account is deleted, the following data is permanently removed:

  • Your user profile (name, email, preferences)
  • All saved recipes and collections
  • Grocery lists and shopping history
  • Pantry inventory
  • Meal plans and templates
  • Achievement progress
  • Delivery service preferences and order history
  • Family sharing memberships
  • Subscription status
  • App settings and notification preferences

What data is retained

Certain data may be retained after account deletion as required by law or third-party obligations:

  • Google Play purchase records — retained by Google as part of your Google account purchase history. ReadyGoCook does not control this data.
  • Anonymized analytics — aggregated, non-identifiable usage data that cannot be linked back to your account.
  • Audit logs — a record that account deletion was requested and completed, retained for security and compliance purposes.

Active subscriptions

Deleting your account does not automatically cancel your subscription. If you have an active Pro or Premium subscription, please cancel it before deleting your account:

  1. Open the Google Play Store app
  2. Tap your profile icon > Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions
  3. Find ReadyGoCook and tap Cancel subscription
